In case you haven't heard the story on the air yet, Laura rented two baby chicks from a farm for her kids to raise for just two weeks during Easter time. The deal was never intended to have them as pets, but the farm gave the option for people to keep the chickens if they wanted.
Of course Laura and her kids fell in love with them and now want to keep them in a coop in her backyard.
She has to wait until May 8th to go to her HOA's board meeting to beg them to allow her to keep them. She ALSO has to get a permit from the city of Longwood, but she can't get the permit until the HOA approval. Here's Laura calling her city leaders inquiring about the permit.
Of course we just HAD to try to get some of it on video because the chicken crusade is hilarious.
