Michael B. Jordan's 'Essence' Cover Is The Thirst Trap We Were Waiting For

Michael B. Jordan and his chiseled body are gracing the cover of Essence magazine's June 2018 issue.

Yes, ladies... and some men. You've definitely read that right. The Black Panther and Fahrenheit 451 actor stripped down and applied some baby oil to his glorious muscles, and his fans couldn't be anymore excited to take in the sights. On the Essence cover, Jordan rocks a red tracksuit without a shirt, as he places one of his hands on his head and looks into the camera.

The actor made a point to thank a special woman who help his body looks its absolute best for the shoot. "S/O to the baby oil lady! She did her thang on this one 😂. Honored to grace the cover of @essence for the 2nd time this year. Issue hits stands 5/25," he captioned his post on IG. Check it out below.

Naturally, social media broke because of the hot shot. Jordan's friend and Black Panther co-star Lupita Nyong'o commented under the photo congratulating him for his second Essence cover in one year, while Issa Rae's responded in the most hilarious way. Once the "Insecure" star saw the picture, she replied, "Wow, I'm pregnant." Check out the funny reaction below.

Director/producer/writer Matthew Cherry of Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions did the honors of interviewing Jordan. During the sit down, the actor spoke about diversity in Hollywood. "Actions speak louder than words. I want to lead by example," Jordan told ESSENCE about adopting an inclusion rider -- which mandates a level of diversity in a project's cast and crew -- for his production company, Outlier Society Productions. "I know I had an opportunity with the shows and projects I had coming up, to put it to work. It's important to have diversity both in front of and behind the camera, and inclusion riders make sure that anyone who does business with my company knows that we expect there to be people of color, women, LGBT folks, and people with disabilities in key positions on our crews and productions staffs."

He added that he will always want to help women in the industry. "I'm raised by strong women," Jordan said. "Since the majority of people in power are men, when we speak up it gives them firmer ground to stand on when we support them. I'm not the poster boy for it; I'm not the guy who's trying to get in every cause, but at the same time when they call me for help, I'm there...I'm going to be there to support them."

Aww, what a guy!
