Vanessa Bryant Posts Loving Tribute To Kobe Bryant For Valentine's Day

Washington Capitals v Los Angeles Kings

Vanessa Bryant wished her late husband Kobe Bryant and late daughter, Gianna, a happy Valentine’s Day.

On Friday (February 14), Vanessa took to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute in their honor along with a photograph of her being held closely in Kobe’s embrace as he plants a kiss on her smiling face.

“To my forever Valentine, I love you so much. Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre,” the 37-year-old captioned the picture, which features audio of Lauryn Hill's song “Tell Him,” the lyrics of which appear inscribed below the snapshot. “Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day, my babies. With all my love, your boo-boo.”

The emotional post comes just three weeks after Kobe, 41, and Gianna, 13, both tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26 along with seven other passengers. Christina Mauser, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester and pilot Ara Zobayan were all aboard the copter when it went down while en route to a basketball tournament at Kobe’s Mama Sport Academy.

As previously reported, Kobe and Gianna were laid to rest in a private funeral service that took place in Corona Del Mar, California, on February 7. In just a few weeks, fans of the late basketball icon will be able to mourn his life and legacy in a public memorial being held on February 24 at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

“My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time,” Vanessa wrote in another heartbreaking tribute post on Tuesday. “It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong.”

Kobe is survived by his wife Vanessa, and their three daughters: Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and 7-month-old Capri.
