LOOK AT THIS WET ROOM!
Okay, so we need to talk about something. Airbnb is an amazing website where you can rent places to stay for cheap, if you didn't already know.
My boyfriend, Sam, and I planned out our very first trip together to LA and decided Airbnb would be a very cost effective way to save. Which is obviously something we are very cautious of.
So we go on the app, find a place we both liked and in our price range, book it, cool, we are good to go.
We arrived in Los Angeles on January 12th, we get our rental, and arrived at the Airbnb. Ya know...it wasn't the most inviting area but we knew we wouldn't spend an awful long time in the place. I mean we are in LA!
So we meet the host, he's kinda all over the place; Sam walks over to the rooms INSIDE the house, thinking (because of the photos on Airbnb) that it is INSIDE.
NO NO NO, we thought wrong.
It was in a SHED! The host takes us back to where he built a little camping area where people rent tents and mini "rooms". Listen if I wanted to camp I would stay at the Fort Wilderness Lodge at good ole Disney.
When I tell you I was shook. I WAS SHOOK. The entire room was soaken wet and the host just told us not to worry because "it'll dry within a few days"... NO.
Long story short we called Airbnb and they gave us our money back plus a coupon. Somehow we found Mabel's place which was central to where Sam and I were going and we had an amazing stay in her guest house.
Will I use Airbnb again? For sure. But this experience was a major fail.
