UM's Diaz Hopes To Play Football This Season

UM's football coach hopes the ACC doesn't follow the lead of other conferences.

The Big Ten and Pac 12 voted yesterday to cancel football this fall, but, as of now, the ACC is planning to play.

Hurricanes head coach Manny Diaz said yesterday he's excited about playing this season, even if it's a conference-only schedule.

Diaz says the Canes only focus on what they can control, and they don't worry about what happens elsewhere.

University of Miami President Dr. Julio Frenk tells CNBC student athletes have been repeatedly tested and the last two have come back with no positive cases.

Frenk adds, campus life can be a safer environment.

UM has invested millions in equipment so faculty can safely lecture to students when they are in class as a part of a hybrid model.
