COVID-19 Relief Bill For Businesses Under Microscope In Tallahassee

State lawmakers hard at work on a bill protecting businesses from COVID-19 liabilities. House Speaker Chris Sprowls says businesses would have to show they complied with one of the public-health guidelines in effect at the time a plaintiff suffered damages, injury or death, to qualify for legal immunity. Critics say this creates blanket immunity for businesses, shielding too many from potential lawsuits.
