St. Pete Beach / Clearwater Adventure VLOG
Beautiful beaches, tall palm trees, amazing seafood, snorkeling and it's only 90 miles west of Orlando!
I arrived at The Don Cesar on St. Pete Beach late on Friday night after a long work week. Grimes had arrived a little earlier in the day with his family and they were just about to sit down for dinner at Crabby Bills so I took a short walk to meet them.
Now let me just say this, I am a fan of Seafood, but I have always been limited with my selection of Seafood as I always seem to stick with eating Salmon. When I arrived at the restaurant and sat down for dinner with the Grimes' I noticed Brian got a huge plate of crab legs. Now, I have always been tempted to try crab legs, but I always change my mind at the last second. These crab legs looked way too good to pass up and so I ordered them. The crab legs were amazing (I literally and typing this drooling thinking about them) covered in butter and spices. I am officially hooked on crab legs!
The Don Cesar
We all have had that moment when we arrived somewhere the night before and have no idea what lies in the darkness of the night. Saturday morning I woke up to this view from the Don Cesar. I literally felt as though I was in the Carribean as I looked out to aqua blue water and a pod of Dolphins traveling along the coast. This is only 90 miles from home!
The Don Cesar's beachfront view wasn't the only beautiful feature of the hotel. The building itself is stunning and rich with history that you can read about here.
The Don Cesar is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway with your spouse. Unfourtantly my spouse was working at the time so I spent a good portion of my time relaxing on the beach and exploring St. Pete Beach.
Grimes on the other hand enjoyed his Frose on the daily.
Sunsets On St. Pete Beach
Late in the evening on Saturday I grabbed my camera and joined dozens of people on the beach having drinks while laying on the white sandy beach while watching one of the most spectacular sunsets in the world.
Boating Adventure In St. Pete Beach
Saturday we decided to explore St. Pete Beach / Clearwater from the water. So we hopped on Brian's boat aka "Nothing But A G Thang" (actual name) and began to explore the beautiful homes throughout the channels. The houses were so beautiful with each house having its very own unique characteristic.
We made our way out to the Gulf Of Mexico and traveled along the crystal clear waters of St. Pete Beach coastline to Egmont Key to snorkel the ruins of Fort Dade. It literally looked like something from Pirates Of The Carribean. White sandy beaches with palm trees and thousands of schools of fish surround you as you snorkel the Gulf Of Mexico. I could spend the whole weekend doing this.
Overall it was an absolutely incredible weekend and I can't wait to go back this fall!
