Florida man arrested for possessing more than 1,000 images of child porn

Deerfield Beach, FL - A South Florida man has been arrested for storing over 1,000 child pornographic images on his Google Drive accounts.

Investigators say the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force were alerted by Google that 13 child pornography files had been uploaded to the Google Drive account of Deerfield Beach resident David Caruso in December.

According to police, during their investigation, seven more Google CyberTups were linked to other Caruso accounts which contained more than 200 child porn files.

During an auditing of accounts by the IT staff at Florida SouthWestern State College in June, a large file with more than 25 gigabytes of child sexual abuse material were discovered in an account.

The files contained pictures and videos of children ranging in age from infants to teenagers engaged in various sex acts with adults, other children and alone.

Investigators traced the account addresses to Caruso.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Caruso's Deerfield Beach home on Thursday morning.

Detectives examined Caruso's devices and found he could access the files through his cellphone.

Caruso was arrested and charged with 11 child pornography counts and remains in the Broward County Jail on $55,000 bond.
