The Top Tens compiled a list of the "best pop artists of all time," measuring the way certain performers have "pushed boundaries" and made an impact on pop culture.

The legendary singer who was named the best to ever do it got his start as a child in his brothers' musical group the Jackson 5 in the 1960s and went on to become one of the biggest musicians of all time through his solo career, climbing to the top of the charts again and again with hits like "Thriller," "Beat It" and "Billie Jean."

The Top Tens named Michael Jackson as the best pop artist of all time, a fitting crown given his lasting title of the King of Pop. He earned the title with his ability to craft catchy songs and his captivating dance skills and for the way he "revolutionized" pop music as we know it. Here's what the site had to say:

Other musicians who made the list of the top 10 best pop artists of all time include artists like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Whitney Houston.
