Canine Extravaganza is the country’s largest celebration of man’s best friend with showcases and competitions for the whole family to enjoy.
• Attendees can pet and play with more than 160 breeds at AKC Meet the Breeds, visit the This is AKC lounge to meet our Dogvisor and find your breed match, shop our doggie boutiques and more.
• More than 5,000 dogs representing the 49 states and 21 countries will vie for Best in Show at the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin.
• Combined with the other weekend events including the AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy and Junior Stakes, AKC Agility Invitational, the AKC Obedience Classic, AKC National Owner-Handler Series Finals, NADD/AKC Diving Dogs Championship, and the Junior events, the overall show totals top 9,023 entries, making this the largest dog show held in the United States since the AKC 1984 Centennial event and the largest dog show in North America.
• The exciting Diving Dogs competition returns, where dogs show off their extreme water skills diving into a giant pool.
• Canine Extravaganza is open to the public December 15th & 16th from 8am – 5pm at the Orange County Convention Center; tickets available at www.akc.org/nationalchampionship.
• Tickets are $10; 12 years old and under get in free.
