I talk for a living... and while I can tell a bad joke with the best of them... I do my best to make sure I at least use words and phrases in the right context... Not everyone can say that... and that drives some people crazy.

You Sound Dumb

That's not me calling you dumb... a survey says that using these phrases wrong makes you sound dumb... The two most common I use... the right way...

"For all intensive purposes."  The correct way to say it is, "For all intents AND purposes."  "Intents" as in intentions.

"I could care less" should be "I COULDN'T care less."  If you could care less, that means you do care about something.  If you couldn't, then you don't care at all... this one is a big one for me!
