Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Alyssa's Law

The mother of a Parkland massacre victim has something to cheer about today. All public schools in the Sunshine State will be required to have a silent panic alarm as Governor Ron DeSantis signs Alyssa's law. The law, named in honor of 14-year-old Alyssa Alhadeff who was killed at Stoneman Douglas, allows students or teachers to be able to push buttons inside their classrooms and directly alert law enforcement of what and where a threat may be. Experts say this will cut down on response times. Alyssa's mom Lori says the law is already on the books in New Jersey, she's hoping it passes in New York next and she's also working on a federal law.
