Tampa Bay Rays Clinch ALCS & Trip to World Series

(San Diego, CA) -- The Tampa Bay Rays have won Game Seven of the ALCS to advance to the World Series.

Charlie Morton gave up just two hits in five-and-two-thirds innings of shutout baseball as the Rays beat the Astros 4-2 in Game Seven of the ALCS in San Diego to clinch the American League Pennant. Randy Arozarena hit a two-run homer in the first, Mike Zunino hit a solo homer in the second and a sacrifice fly in the sixth for Tampa Bay, who are going to the World Series for just the second time in franchise history. Carlos Correa drove in the lone run for Houston.

They will face the winner of Sunday's Game Seven of the NLCS between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 1 of the 2020 World Series is scheduled for Tuesday night at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
