Man pours bleach on woman, sexually assaults her, then beats her with mop

Escambia County, FL - A man's been arrested for pouring bleach on a woman, cutting her hair and sexually assaulting her with a mop.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office arrested 51-year-old Rodney Hunt on Wednesday after the sheriff's office received a call about a woman needing help claiming she was assaulted by a man.

The victim told deputies Hunt got upset with her when she refused to do drugs with him.

Hunt then allegedly forced the woman to take a "meth pill," splashed bleach in her face, then grabbed a mop and started hitting her in the face with it multiple times.

According to deputies, Hunt then poured the entire bottle of bleach on the victim before sexually violating her with the mop while shaving off parts of her hair.

Deputies say the woman's injuries were consistent with the description of her story.

Investigators found evidence at the crime scene that matched the description of the woman's story.

Hunt was taken into custody and is being held at the Escambia County Jail on a $105,000 bond.
