The suspect in an officer-involved shooting at a Palm Beach County school this week had been arrested just hours earlier.

29-year old Delroy Thomas was shot by a Riviera Beach police officer on Monday after officials say he attacked the officer after walking onto the campus of Suncoast High School. It happened just as students were arriving in the morning and resulted in the school going into a Code Red Lockdown.

It's now been learned that Thomas was arrested in the 1 a.m. hour on Monday for trespassing at a hospital.

The man is recovering his injuries and is due in court next week.
