A second body has been found in the St. Lucie River, where a car full of suspects crashed.

A Martin County Sheriff's helicopter, early Tuesday morning, was pursuing a Mazda stolen in Boynton Beach which was going over 100 miles per hour along multiple roadways.

The vehicle crashed into the water near Kanner Highway and Cove Road, where the body of 17-year old Marcus Griffin was pulled out yesterday.

Two other teens, 17-year old Damion Toussaint and 18-year old Enrique Hernandez, were taken into custody and another body was pulled out of the river on Wednesday.

"If the question is did the body we recovered today, are we certain it came from the car yesterday? No, we're not although the overwhelming likelihood, almost to some reasonable certainty is that we have recovered the body from that incident."

Sheriff William Snyder says there may still be one suspect unaccounted for because one of the teens arrested claims there were five of them in the vehicle.

He says the suspects were released at the request of the state attorney's office.

"They're looking at upcharging this to capital murder. Somebody died in the commission of the felony, that would be the stolen car, and so they were afraid for us to make an arrest that might hinder the bigger charge."

Snyder said if there is another body in the water, it should naturally float to the surface over time.
