Texas Firefighter Arrested After Careening Into Key West Waters

Key West, FL - A 21-year-old firefighter was arrested for DUI after crashing his car into the ocean during a high-speed incident in Key West.

Authorities say Samuel Adym Martin was arrested on DUI charges after his vehicle drove off South Roosevelt Boulevard and into the waters below.

According to Key West police, Martin was driving at an excessive speed when he lost control, causing his vehicle to become airborne before plunging into the ocean.

Both Martin and his passenger managed to escape the submerged car without sustaining injuries.

Despite claiming to be a firefighter who recently relocated from Texas, Martin did not specify which fire department he was affiliated with.

He was arrested at the scene and booked on DUI charges.
