Orlando, FL - Gas prices in Florida have remained relatively stable after Hurricane Milton made landfall on the state's Gulf Coast.
According to AAA, prices across the state have decreased by 2 cents per gallon since last week.
In Miami, prices have dropped by about a penny a gallon, currently averaging $3.08 per gallon.
This is significantly lower than a month ago ($3.19) and a year ago ($3.27).
In Fort Lauderdale, the average price is $3.11 per gallon, while in West Palm Beach/Boca Raton the average price is $3.25 per gallon.
Florida's statewide average gas price is $3.08 per gallon, down from $3.10 last week.
Several North Florida areas are averaging less than $3 a gallon, making it the cheapest region for gas in the state.
Pensacola and Panama City have the lowest prices at $2.88 per gallon.
Palm Beach County remains the most expensive area for gas, with an average price of $3.25 per gallon.
The stabilization of gas prices is attributed to improved fuel supplies following Hurricane Milton.
Retailers had struggled to keep their pumps stocked due to increased demand during the storm, but supplies have now normalized.
The national average gas price has also declined, falling below $3 a gallon for the first time since early 2024.
This decline is partly due to decreased oil prices, influenced by factors such as Iran's attack on Israel and economic weakness in China.
