FLORIDA - Florida motorists are catching a break at the pump this week as gas prices continue to fall, thanks to a significant drop in crude oil costs.

The state’s average gas price dipped 10 cents over the past four days, settling at $3.11 per gallon on Sunday.

According to AAA, that’s the lowest daily average in two weeks and a sharp turnaround after prices briefly rose by 2 cents earlier in the week.

AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins said the recent slide in oil prices is now filtering through to consumers.

He noted that the state average could soon approach the $3-per-gallon mark if trends continue.

Nationally, crude oil prices have dropped by more than $7 per barrel over the past two weeks, triggering widespread declines in fuel costs.

Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, said nearly every U.S. state is seeing lower prices.

De Haan added that, with the annual peak typically arriving around April 10, prices may have already topped out for 2025.

As refineries wrap up seasonal maintenance and supply increases, he said further declines are likely—barring any unexpected shifts in global trade policies.

South Florida is seeing some of the steepest week-over-week declines.

In Miami-Dade, gas is averaging $3.04 per gallon, while Broward is down to $3.06—both significant drops from last week.

West Palm Beach and Naples remain the priciest spots at over $3.20, while Panama City and Pensacola are now among the cheapest, averaging around $2.85.
