One Florida Congress Man Returns From El Salvador, Another Heading There

One Florida Congressman is back from El Salvador, while another will soon be on her way.

Congressman Maxwell Frost returned to Orlando this morning after meeting with the Ambassador and human rights groups but was denied a visit with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who the Trump administration initially admitted was mistakenly deported.

"The answer we got on why we weren't allowed to see him was that we went unofficially. So, our hope is that as more people go officially that they'll be no reason for them not to see Abrego Garcia," says Frost.

The Democrat, and the three others who joined him, are asking for routine proof of life updates, and where he's being held.

Meanwhile, Pinellas County Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna announced today she's accepted a personal invitation to meet next month with El Salvador's President.

The Republican says she'll focus on strengthening the partnership between the nations and commitments to safety and human rights.
