Miami, FL - Inter Miami CF has officially broken into the ranks of the world’s 25 most valuable soccer teams.
Acording to a 2025 report from CNBC, valued at $1 billion, the Major League Soccer club now sits at No. 22 on the global list, an impressive feat for a franchise that launched just a few years ago.
The club, co-owned by David Beckham along with Jorge and Jose Mas, generated $185 million in revenue in 2024.
Much of that momentum is credited to the global star power of players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, who have helped turn the Miami-based team into an international draw.
Despite the talent, Inter Miami trails fellow MLS teams LAFC and LA Galaxy in the rankings.
A key reason is stadium capacity, Chase Stadium holds just 21,550 fans, the smallest among top-ranked clubs.
However, that may change soon.
Starting next season, Inter Miami will move into a new stadium where the club will control economic operations, including revenue from ticket sales, sponsorships, and non-MLS events.
CNBC’s Michael Ozanian noted the club hopes Messi will remain for another season or two to help drive fan interest during the transition.
Although MLS still trails Europe’s top leagues in global exposure and broadcasting revenue, especially due to Apple TV’s streaming exclusivity, Inter Miami’s rise reflects a growing appetite for soccer in the U.S.
The next few years will determine whether that growth can continue once Messi eventually steps away from the pitch.
