Plantation, FL - A Plantation home was the scene of a daytime shooting this week, captured on a resident’s doorbell camera.
The incident occurred around noon Wednesday at a rental property when a blue-gray Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 Coupe allegedly pulled up to the residence.
Four suspects exited the vehicle and allegedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Surveillance footage shows the suspects speeding away immediately after the shooting.
Authorities confirmed the Mercedes had Florida license plates registered to a vehicle reported stolen from Miami Gardens.
The residents of the home, who are also from Miami Gardens, have not cooperated with investigators, leaving the motive for the shooting unclear.
Plantation police are actively searching for the suspects and have linked the incident to another shooting that occurred approximately 45 minutes later in Miami-Dade County near Interstate 95, although details about that incident remain limited.
No injuries were reported at the Plantation location.
Investigators are continuing to examine whether the two shootings are connected and whether the stolen Mercedes played a role in the events.
Police have asked the public to provide any information that could help identify the suspects.
Authorities emphasized that tips from the community are critical to solving the case.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are following multiple leads to locate the suspects and determine the circumstances behind the shooting.
