The cruise ship mystery behind 18-year-old Anna Kepner's death continues as her grandparents speak publicly about her death for the first time.... The Titusville senior was found dead in her cabin aboard the Carnival Horizon on November 7th. The ship later docked at Port Miami.
Grandmother Barbara Kepner tells ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday, that Anna's body was found by a cleaner in her room, concealed under the bed. The grandparents say they were told her body showed no signs of assault or drugs or alcohol in her system. In an unrelated custody dispute, a family member said Anna's stepbrother, who is a minor, is a suspect in Anna's death.
Barbara said, "I heard him, in his own words, say he does not remember what happened." They say Anna and her stepbrother were close, like brother and sister.
Court records show Anna's step-brother is considered a person of interest.
