Red flag warnings for dangerous rip currents remain along South Florida beaches.

Lifeguards at Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale beaches were busy on Easter making dozens of rescues.

Twenty people in Fort Lauderdale and more than 30 in Hollywood were rescued in separate incidents, fire rescue said.

Ocean Rescue even stayed at the beach until 7:30 pm to ensure the safety of beachgoers.

Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue's Lt. Mitch McCrady says rough surf continues today and knowing where to swim is key.

"People usually swim where there a no waves, but that's the most dangerous place."

Rough surf and dangerous rip currents are expected today in Miami-Dade, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach and tomorrow.

One swimmer, a 50-year-old man, died Sunday night after being rescued off Pompano Beach.
