Our Baby Making Process Update! Here's us on the day of our IUI procedure and our results!
All of the pills and the shots leading up to this IUI procedure day were totally worth it! We are so excited! We have seen the stats and the low success rates for the first IUI … BUT we have to start somewhere!

The 48 hours before the IUI procedure were super stressful! We ordered our sperm from another state so we had to get it shipped to us. Our doctor told us to overnight our sperm to get it there for the procedure… we thought nothing of it and ordered it!
Little did we know that a snow storm was rolling through and it caused some issues! The sperm was stuck in another state and it looked like it wasn’t going to make it in time for the procedure! Watching it every single hour was stressing us out! We were cursing Mother Nature’s name! When we got home from work we looked at the tracking again and it was shipped to Central Florida! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?? We don’t know. It was a miracle lol. Our sperm was shipped and arrived a couple hours before the procedure!
I was really nervous and excited! It’s a little uncomfortable… but I kept thinking about the end goal! The procedure itself is only a couple of minutes. After the insemination you have to lay there for 10 minutes. At that time it hit me! We want this to work so badly! Thank goodness Missy was able to be there with me. She was making me laugh the whole time.
AFTER THE DREADED TWO WEEK WAIT (the longest two weeks of my life) we finally got my blood work results. Here they are --->
So yeah. It’s a negative this time around but like we said in the video…. We are on round TWO and we are way more positive and patient this time. The doctors know more about me and my body and how it works. I am also on more medicine (shots) that will hopefully help this time.
The only thing I need to do is be patient. It is the hardest thing for me. Thank goodness for Missy. She is my rock. She keeps me calm and busy
I need to remind myself that there are sooo many women out there who struggle with fertility problems… This journey could end up being super long. This journey might lead to IVF if the IUI attempts don’t work. I need to remember to be strong and I need to remember all of the women out there who have been dealing with this for years!
