About The Walkout
The protest is both a memorial and protest action on the one month anniversary of the shooting in Parkland, Florida. Students and teachers across the nation will walk out of their schools and universities to honor the lives of the 17 people killed at Stoneman Douglas and press lawmakers to pass stricter gun control laws. More than 2,500 walkouts are planned across the United States.
How Long Will It Last?
The walkout will begin at 10a.m. and last for 17 minutes to honor each Stoneman Douglas victim.
