Dear High School Graduates, Here is the truth about the future you're going into. About 10% of you will follow your dreams. You will graduate college, find a great job and be successful in the field you love. You'll be the ones everyone will be talking about. You've worked hard the entire time in high school and it will payoff for you. Congrats.
For the rest of you, 40% have peaked. You'll go on the rest of your life referring to what you did in High School. Football player, cheerleader, student government will the last time you'll get respect and attention. After you walk across this stage' you'll be smacked in the face with reality. You need to find a job and you won't get a high paying job. You'll make a little over minimum wage. You'll hate life because you're no longer the cool kid, you're the person that "use to be" someone.
The other 50% will work hard and try to make something of yourself. You will do OK but far from what you imagined. You'll have kids and work a job till you die.
Finally 10% of you will go to jail, hooked on drugs or both. Look around at all the nerds and geeks you picked on while in school. These individuals will be your boss in the future and they'll never forget how you made them feel.
As you walk across the stage to get your diploma, please know that all those school administrators are smiling because they never have to see your face again. Class of 2018! Good Luck, because you'll need it.
