Anthony got a sales bonus that wasn't expected. He has always had the dream of getting an old Jeep and fixing it up. It's something he has wanted as a child. His wife thinks it's crazy to buy an old fixer upper. They have other things they could do with the money. Charles thinks that Anthony should just buy the Jeep and take it home and hand over the rest of the money to his wife. This is money that wasn't expected so it's extra to the household. Charles knows Anthony's wife would be mad for a while, but she'll get over it. He feels that Anthony works really hard, and he deserves it.
Anthony wants the Jeep badly, but he knows that his wife would never agree to it. He loves her and she loves him. Anthony knows that she'll be mad at first, but he thinks he should tell her. Charles mentioned to Anthony that his wife didn't tell him when she bought an expensive purse, and he forgave her. Charles feels like this make things even. Anthony is a pushover and Charles is telling him to stand his ground on this. It's something he really wants, and he deserves it.
